Not only are there photos from the set, but there are also confirmations that shooting has already begun here in Chicago. Apparenlty it is only exterior shots. The production crew is shooting along La Salle Street at night - down at Randolph and La Salle by the City Hall building.Things continue to look promising for Batman Begins. Hope that when they do some real shooting with some of the principal actors here this summer that I can catch a glimpse of the going-ons.
Tthe talk about another Superman movie is heating up. Seems production is actually moving forward with a J.J Abrams (Alias) penned script with McG (Charlie Angels) directing. I've been reading about this for months, but now there seems to be a consistent din coming out of the comic book movie rumor mill. Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman and Johnny Depp as Jor-El, Superman's father, actual sites being scouted for shooting, and push from Warner Brothers for a summer 2006 release.
In fact there is quote from Abrams that confirms things are picking up for Superman: "The movie is closer to getting made now than it's ever been. I'm crossing my fingers the movie gets made because there are a lot of really wonderful elements attached to it. I'm hoping the movie see the light of day. I believe it will." In the article he even weighs in on his choice for Lex Luthor: Victor Garber (Jack Bristow) from Alias.Couldn't agree more with that suggestion for casting. Victor's Jack character on Alias is the nastiest good guy I have ever seen. In fact, the Jack Bristow character is probably my favorite part of that show, and it's entirely because of how Garber portrays Jack. Cold, calculating, anything to protect the people he thinks needs protecting. Jack is very much an "ends justify the means" sort of guy and I love it. There's a lot of that in the character of Lex Luthor.
